Music Classes
Birdie's WILDLY FUN music class combines singing, dancing, playing percussin & fun factoids about wildlife. She offers two age groups -- 0 to 24 months & 2 to 5 years of age. Her class was featured in LA's Daily CANDY Kids!
Birdie features a new animal each week & hand picks music that grooves and teaches about wildlife or other environmental themes. The little birdies learn to play as a group & develop a sense of rythym and tone. Plus Birdie throws in a few Spanish vocabulary lessons. Ole!

PUMP STATION SANTA MONICA

Every Thursday @ 1:30 pm * Ongoing * Class duration: 50 minutes
10 consecutive classes: $160 for 1st child $50 for 2nd * Includes Birdie's " Wildlife" CD
Single class: $20 for 1st child $8 for 2nd
Makeup policy: You can attend up to two makeup classes right after your 10 classes have been used. No partial refunds for missed classes. Class will not be held Thanksgiving day or Christmas eve. |
TREEHOUSE SOCIAL CLUB

Private Classes * affordable & fun
Birdie will FLY TO YOU if you gather a minimum of 5 paying families. If you are the host & can gather at least 5 paying families you get the class FREE! Invite your friends or mommy group to your home & make it a social learning experience!
With a minimum commitment of 5 classes, the RATES per family are:
$15 for one child, $5 each additional sibling & siblings 6 months & under are free!
Safety note: Birdie's Playhouse works hard to make sure class activities are fun & safe. However Birdie's Playhouse cannot be held responsible for any personal injuries so please take extra care of yourself & your child in class. Birdie sterilizes all instruments with anti-bacterial wipes.
Detailed Class Description
Singing
We start each class with Birdie’s Hello Song. Then we sing kids songs, such as “Itsy Bitsy Spider,” "Wheels on the Bus” & “Oh When the Ants, Come Marchin in.” Birdie may pass out bells or sticks for everyone to play.
Dancing, Movement or Game play
Birdie then leads the group in movement, "Dolphin Dance," "Monkey Dance," to music styles ranging from Latin to pop rock. We'll also play games like "Shake your Tail Feathers," or "pull the tail off the monkey."
Instrument Play
We all play percussion instruments such as bottle shakers, drums, castanets, tambourines & more to fun children's music that won't drive parents crazy. After free play, Birdie will also lead some call & response drum beats and percussion hits. Ole!
Fun facts * Storytime
Every class features a specific wild animal. And we hear a story or learn fun facts about the animal through Birdie's use of puppets & photos.
Goodbye
Then we sing the goodbye song.
Singing & chanting will be done as a group, with Birdie sometimes accompanying with light percussion. The Movement & Instrument Play will be done to CD tracks.
Birdie is Latina, so we occassionally sprinkle in words in Spanish. Entonces, spanish / bilingual speakers & nannies are WELCOME! Bienvenidos! Todos los animales y yo nos hablamos espanol! |
